143 = I Love You

Public Reception: 7 p.m. - 11 p.m.
Exhibiting Artists Early Reception: 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Over 60 artists have contributed 6"x9" artworks to the this exhibit, set to open right before Valentine's Day on Friday, February 12, 2010. We are trying to accumulate 143 artworks for the show to raise funds for the gallery. Each work will sell for $20, and there will be a special early reception for contributing artists so they can have first choice of the works before the public opening later in the evening. Get there early to pick out the piece of art you want, and you can take it home starting at 8 p.m.
Artists were asked to include "143" in some way either literally or conceptually in the artwork. By the way, 143 is the txt short hand for I Love You, using the number of letters in each word of the phrase. It also happens to be the address of the gallery! ...143 North Rock Island.
This will be a great way to get a piece of artwork for someone you love and support Tangent Lab at the same time.
