The Printmaking department at Wichita State University has gone through a transformation this past semester with the appointment of Monika Meler as its new lead faculty member. Tangent Lab is pleased to host an exhibit featuring work produced by WSU students and faculty during this formative and exciting time. The show opens with a reception this Saturday evening, December 13th at 7 p.m.
"I wanted to bring together this group of students because their work speaks well about the results of this semester of change and growth," says Miller about the exhibit. "The artists in this exhibit examine printmaking from a variety of perspectives, at times questioning the very nature of the print and its boundaries."
Coming up:
Tangent Lab will host a photography contest for the second time this coming month with an exhibit opening the Final Friday in January. Entries will be submitted in digital format this time, with the call for entries coming out before the end of the year. Stay tuned for more info, and if you have friends or acquaintances that would be interested, please pass it along.
