Upcoming event: Solo: The Exhibition Artwork by: Nicholas Carvalho Opening Reception: Final Friday September 28, 2007 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Musical guests: Ryan Windham Spirit of the Stairs Don't miss the 10@10 gallery talk starting at 10 p.m.

Come out to Tangent Lab this Final Friday and you can enjoy the paintings, photographs and other creative works of Nicholas Carvalho - an emerging yet accomplished talent of the local art scene.

Carvalho's paintings have a graphical style all their own, incorporating several textures and an intuitive sense of balance and form. He'll also have his photography on display, including shots of local bands creatively captured in time and motion. Even some soft-sculpture will be featured - plush monsters stitched by hand.

The on-going 10@10 gallery talk series will start at 10 p.m. and go on for about 10 minutes, allowing attendees to hear the artist's intentions and inspirations.

Musical guests will include solo guitarist Ryan Windham, starting around 9 p.m. out on the patio. The newly-expanded Spirit of the Stairs will play a set at 10:30, adding to what promises to be a must-see stop during the upcoming gallery crawl. Come early, stay late - be at Tangent Lab this Friday night.
