Tall in stature and deep in talent, Ian Stewart takes over Tangent Lab this Final Friday, October 26th with an eclectic outpouring of his various artworks. This will be Stewart's first one-man show, and the challenge is something he has been looking forward to. "I wanted to be able to share more pieces at one time and hopefully display a progression of my work in a larger space," said Stewart.

Inspired a great deal by music and popular culture, Stewart creates a wide variety of applications of his art, including drawings, paintings, photographs, collages and even stickers on bottles. Stick around untill 10 p.m., and you can listen to Stewart muse over his artistic reasonings during our 10@10 gallery talk. The live soundtrack for the exhibit will be provided by Albert Alfonso and Christopher Flores.

Coming up:
The group show Electrographis opens next month during the Final Friday gallery crawl on November 30th. The exhibit will feature the digitally created works of several local artists, including Wade Hampton, Mervi Pakaste, Dustin Parker, Brad Ruder, Tyra Smith, Ian Stewart, Landon Taylor and Jonathan Wood.
