Upcoming event: Alphabet Solo exhibit featuring new works by Jaki McElroy Opening Reception This Final Friday! February 26, 2010 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Gallery Talk 10@10 Starts at 10:00 p.m. Musical Guest: Jenny Wood

Jaki McElroy will be the featured artist during the Final Friday of February with her exhibit Alphabet, opening the evening of the 26th. The main body of work in her show will include panels depicting a variety of animals, objects and plant life that correspond to letters in the alphabet. Jaki will also have several colorful works incorporating stream of consciousness subject matter. Be in the gallery at 10 p.m. to hear Jaki tell about her work and inspirations during the 10@10 gallery talk. The musical guest for the evening will be Jaki's sister, singer/songwriter Jenny Wood.

Sponsored by Scion, Installation 6: Video is set to make a stop in Wichita next month at Tangent Lab, opening on March 26. Ten prominent artists were challenged to create non-narrative video installations that will transform five unique exhibition spaces selected for the tour. The annual event, designed to expose established and emerging artists and their work to audiences across the country, features a distinctive selection of international talent and visits Los Angeles, New York, Minneapolis, Austin and Wichita.
