Upcoming event: Into Shape: Working Our Abs An all-abstract art show curated by Kelly Moody Opening Reception Final Friday March 25, 2011 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. 10@10 Gallery Talk Starts at 10 p.m.

The creative application of paint to surface can be an immersive activity, an escape from reality. Painting abstract forms without the constraint of realism or narrative can be fun and playful, an exploration of shape, rhythm and balance.

Tangent Lab is happy to welcome Kelly Moody as guest curator this month for Into Shape: Working Our Abs, an exhibit of all abstract paintings. In addition to artwork created by Kelly himself, several artists have joined in for the fun, including Curt Clonts, Elly Fitzig, Chris Frank, Matthew Hilyard, Tim Jacobs, Jim Phillips, Lee Shiney, Greg Turner and Jack Wilson.

Join us at Tangent Lab this Final Friday March 25, and be here at 10 p.m. to hear the artists talk about their work during our 10@10 gallery talk series.

Coming Next Month
The Scion Installation art tour returns to Wichita and Tangent Lab next month with Installation 7: Video, featuring work from 10 artists who were challenged to create non-narrative video installations. The tour travels to five unique exhibition spaces this year in Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Wichita, Minneapolis and Austin.
